We are now a candidate school for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP). We’re pursuing authorization* as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.
*Only schools authorized by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme or the IB Career-related Certificate (IBCC). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
WHY HAVE WE CHOSEN IB?
The IB programmes:
Encourage students to think independently and drive their own learning.
Enable students to take part in programmes of education that can lead them to the best universities in India and overseas.
Address not only cognitive development but social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
Prepare students to engage with people in an increasingly globalized, rapidly changing world.
The IB website provides detailed information on the programs, university acceptance, statistics and a lot more.
How do Big Picture and IB work together?
Big Picture and the International Baccalaureate complement each other incredibly well due to their belief in an education for the 21st century. Both encourage students to drive their own learning.
Big Picture focuses on the how – how do we structure and personalise learning for each child, how do we develop their interests and passions and how do we connect them with the real world.
The IB framework helps us ensure that students are meeting academic requirements, learning about different subjects and building age appropriate skills.
